Making Freestyle Fun(ny) — Jeremy Bryan
In this session, we’ll compose a simple rhythm and melody on a drum machine and engage writing and improv exercises that will help each participant develop their own freestyle flow, culminating in a “cypher”—which is a storytelling/freestyling circle in which each member shares. The skills learned in this session are easily transferable to non-rhyming environments as well and will provide new frames for thinking about and enacting improv comedy.
