Eric Price — Finding Patience in the Scene, Lightning Fast
Improv is all about the “now” – and improvisers need to make split second decisions about their character and the characters around them instantly and naturally. The speed of these decisions and information being communicated make it easy to rely on unnatural invention and failing to live in and appreciate the moment of the scene. But it doesn’t have to be that way. In this workshop, we will explore how tapping into your style of comedy and who you are give each improvisers specific strengths to build the “perfect scene” without being frenzied and out of sync with your teammates. Be prepared to (re-)learn how being patient, embracing silence and selflessly working as a team — while staying true to who you are – can foster an unrushed joy of improv for you and your audiences.
